I'm still not done with all the birthday nonsense but I'm taking a break since this is quilt month in Paducah and things are getting a little crazy. Speaking of quilts, I just finished a quilt for the Dogwood exhibit at City Hall.
It is the first big quilt I have done since August. This is the first year they take fiber and I guess no one knew about it so I was the only one that entered fiber. They have cash prizes so at least I know I won something. It was beautifully quilted by Pam Heavrin. I gave her a piece of solid black fabric and told her how to quilt it. Then I appliqued the rest on the quilted fabric. The dogwoods were done separately so they are three dimensional.I think I am over the artist-block-self-doubting-can't-do-anything-right phase.
