The end of the year is near and it is making me want to get everything finished so I can start 2011 fresh. I needed to finish the gallery for the Frederick County Civil War Roundtable website and I just did. I think it is pretty cool and informative. Take a look.
Now when I'm going to have time to update my own website?

New Web Design: The Uniform Store
A few months ago I was hired by the owner of The Uniform Store in Winchester, VA to redesign their website. They wanted the site to reflect the look and atmosphere of the store. After a couple designs after seeing photos of the store, the new Uniform Store website was born. The illustrations in the site are done by artist Tracey Buchanan, who I also designed a site for.

New Website: Rehabilitation of Frederick
Two years ago I walked into their office. Now I am a fully licensed driver. It took a lot of driving lessons and a lot of hours driving around. We inevitably had to talk about our lives.
Well, that day has arrived. The simplified version for now. We got to start somewhere.
ROF: So, what do you do?
Me: I am a web graphic designer.
ROF: Oh yeah. That is one thing I have to do one of these days.

New Web Design: FCCWRT
Take a look at the web site I just designed. It is for the Frederick County Civil War Round Table. The Civil War sesquicentennial (that is a 150 year anniversary, I had to look it up) is coming up next year so this is an exciting time for them.

My Website Redesigned... Finally!
In Puerto Rico there is a saying that translated literally says:
I designed my website a year ago and almost didn't update it for a whole year. It looked pretty sad. Finally this summer I said "I'm going to redesign my web site no matter what!" and I did. Here is the result.
I'm pretty happy with it and have received good comments on it. I have a few more ideas for it but if I keep waiting until it is perfect, I'll never get it published! One of the negative comments I received was that it was too personal and not very business-like. I wanted to show a little personality and sense of humor and not have a website like every other designer out there. What do you think?
In the house of the knifemaker they have wood knifes.I'm sure there is something similar in English. But basically it refers to when you do something for a living you do it for other people and never have time to do it for yourself. I was a quilter for many years and I always slept under a store-bought comforter. I had a quilt designed on my head for my bed but never had time to make it.

Start the year off right?
I had the best of intentions. I wanted to start the year off right. I wanted to get things out of the way and start with a clean slate. So I made a list of ten things I was going to do yesterday. I got two of them done. Not a great start. But I should have known this was not going to be a great start when I sent an email to every family and friend on my list wishing them a happy new year and didn't realized that I was wishing them a Happy 2007! Or when I was invited to the Annual Games Day at I Colori Divini and thought it was from 3-5 pm when it really started at 1 pm so I was two and a half hours late. But I did do some good things. I deposited some money into my savings account and I got a website done. Here it is:
